About me

Luay Anas Eljamal was born in Dubai, UAE on July 23rd 1992. His star sign could be considered either Leo or Cancer, depending on the source. He likes to refer to himself as a lion with a crab's head, or vice versa. He is often described as creative, imaginative, open-minded and enthusiastic.

 

Since the age of 5, Luay has written stories about cats in hats on mats to stories about children who enter purgatory. His stories often "never cease to shock and entertain" their readers. They often range from mystery to adventure or sometimes a simple drama.

 

At 6, Luay had been asked to star in his first commercial for a Sony Digital Camera. That advert had lead him to a second commercial for the Marriott Hotel and Resort in Dubai, which later lead to him posing, at age 8, for the still well-known Dubai Shopping Festival (DSL)

 

Luay also began writing a book, at 8, which was quite similar to that of JK Rowling's celebrated "Harry Potter" novels, where three friends (Bart, Fatito and Heloise--one of whose name made it into the now published "Jason Love" series) endure through a dangerous set of adventures and learn a few very valuable lessons. Of course, the publisher's wouldn't accept a Potter-copied storyline, and at 11, after having been obviously rejected, the idea of "Jason Love" began to form in his head.

 

At 12, Luay, with his family, moved to Fort McMurray, Alberta where the Jason Love story slowly began to unfold, until everything from Jason's back-story to his future had been formed.

 

2 years and several publishers later, Jason's life being four years in the making, AuthorHouse, a self-publishing company, agreed to help Luay share his story with the world.

 

While working on a few rewrites, plot twists and foreshadows, Luay used the extra time available to star in both "Disney's Aladdin Jr." and act alongside talented community actors in "Disney's Beauty and the Beast". Other productions he participated in included "Touch", "The Hobbit", "Grease" and "Cats"

 

He currently lives with his family, in Alberta, where he plans to graduate from high school and continue writing the "Jason Love" series for people to enjoy and, hopefully, learn from.
